ray liotta plastic surgery The search for “the fountain of youth” is everywhere, but no more apparent than with Hollywood celebrities, where fillers, injections and alterations run rampant. Some are barely noticeable, and very natural looking and others are just, well “noticeable,” as is the case with famed actor Ray Liotta.
No Laughing Matter
At 58 years of age, Liotta opted out of the “grow old gracefully” theory and, unfortunately, his procedures appear anything but graceful. While we can’t state this as an absolute fact, judging by his before and after photos, he definitely has “had work.” One of the most distinctive places we’ve noticed a significant change is his face. Instead of laugh lines and lines that demonstrate years of hard work that show up in the forehead, Liotta’s face is frozen and lifeless. If he laughed or tried to raise his eyebrows or create a “furrowed brow” in frustration, it would be both a funny and frustrating feat. A good facelift performed by a skilled and experienced surgeon is meant to add life to the face and rid it of some sagging skin. In Liotta’s case, he appears wax-like and lifeless.
A Stressful Approach to Alleviating Stretch Marks
Another application Liotta appears to have tried is Botox injections. Instead of smoother skin without stress lines, his face appears plastic and unnatural, and overstretched. Additionally, the Botox seems to counteract the effects of a facelift, creating unattractive jowls and an over-tightness around his eye area.
Laugh Lines and Wrinkles are the Roadmap of Our Lives
Ray Liotta is a talented, gifted actor who bought into the Hollywood hoopla that staying young is the way to stay in the Hollywood game. While his efforts as an actor have definitely paid off in dividends, earning him numerous awards and nominations, his efforts to achieve eternal youth have had an adverse effect, costing him dearly. One can only hope this does not hinder him from obtaining future work. There is a certain amount of dignity, sophistication and charisma associated with the aging process, especially in men. Laugh lines show enjoyment of life, and wrinkles are proof of a life well lived, full of the highs and lows of doing work we love. They’re a roadmap of our past that should be celebrated, not covered up, feared or hidden.
